Just like I mentioned in the video it is very important to whisk this “dulce” once taken out of the can. Also, like I said, there are many different ways to make this “dulce” and some, like in a microwave or pressure cooker, will be ready much faster.
The technique I used in the video by having two pots with water is optional. I do this to ensure I have hot water ready in case I need to add more water into the pot with the can in it. In case you need to add water to maintain the level above the can and you use water from the faucet, even if it is hot, it will slow the cooking process that’s all.
You can also add vanilla extract and ground cinnamon among other spices right before whisking it at the end for a more elevated flavor. That’s exactly what I do when I use this “dulce” as a stuffing for churros (video coming soon).
