The story behind this recipe
I believe it was sometime in the mid 90’s, my best friends and I used to go every single Sunday to El Yunque Rain Forrest in Rio Grande PR and bathe in the cold refreshing waters of the river right on a spot called La Mina Falls.
Many times when done at the river if we had any time to spare we would stop at Balneario De Fajardo to end the day bathing in the sea, it was good times. On one occasion while being at Balneario De Fajardo we came across Mr. Sergio Ferrari, an Argentinian young man selling churros at the balneario. We stop by to purchase churros and spent a good deal of time talking with Mr. Ferrari about his beautiful churros cart. That conversation led into me purchasing the churros cart from Mr. Ferrari who in turn gave me the recipe.
It turns out that I still have this cart, it is sitting at my parents house in Puerto Rico. Maybe one day we will turn it into the money making machine it was intended to be. Many years ago I lost communication with Mr. Sergio Ferrari and haven’t been able to establish contact with him again. I really hope he is doing well, he was a really nice and cool young man.
